Conducting a walkthrough of the home, hearing from hand from you details about the home, identifying key areas which may need improvement in the home – these are all an integral part in a Realty One agent’s initial assessment of a home.
PREPARING YOUR HOME TO SELL
From the initial meeting, you may have a “to do” list that will help optimize the value of your home. These are all decisions and discussions to be made with your Realty One agent. Understanding improvements/repairs, whether or not they are made prior to listing the home for sale, and how those decisions will impact the desirability and value of the home (ultimately what it can sell for) are all discussions that need to take place with your Realty One agent. Often as homeowners we are blinded to the things that a buyer will notice when they first walk in the door. Getting a fresh set of eyes on it (your agent) to give you advice on the home, may mean to achieve the price you want includes doing a few upgrades before putting it up for sale. Ultimately though the decision on what is done (or not done) is yours to make. Our job is to share with you market data and our experience and knowledge.
